While people who snore tend not to notice their affliction, their spouses do, and that often causes friction in the relationship and less sleep for all. There are many remedies to help snoring sufferers.
For example, sleeping on your side can help provide the proper support you need to take in air more efficiently. Even though snoring is different than a condition known as sleep apnea, a sleep apnea pillow can also help with this effort nonetheless. Some people who snore have been known to attach an object like a tennis ball to the back of the sleep shirt. Doing this makes it less comfortable to sleep on one's back.
Another method used to help snoring sufferers is to avoid taking sleeping pills or drinking alcohol before you go to bed. While it may make for a deeper sleep, it will also make you more prone to sleeping in a position conducive to more snoring.
Other stop snoring tips include using a snoring chin strap, losing weight and using snoring devices like a nasal strip that opens the nasal passages. If nasal strips are not comfortable, then using a nasal spray can often be a favorable alternative.
